Tip from Nata – Chereňova rock

We saw the sunrise on Choča, what if we experienced the sunset on Čereňova skala? …

... So it won't be a completely original sunset, as the sun sets behind us on Čereňová skála, but that doesn't matter at all. The setting sun can give the view from Čereňová skála a completely different touch.

Today we will leave the Ostredok hotel for nearby Liptovská Anna. It is approximately 35 minutes by car. Čereňova, or Čerenová skala, with a height of 1042 meters above sea level, is one of the lower hills in the Chočské vrchy. We start the ascent at the end of Liptovská Anna. We park the car in the natural parking lot and head towards the valley. Under-the-counter information – this is a place from where you can go on another nice hike to Pravnáč, but more on that another time.

The route is very easy, first we proceed along the asphalt, then we descend according to the signs to the forest path. The route is very well marked, so you don't have to worry about getting lost. The first views don't take long, but the ascent itself is one of the shorter ones. The journey up took us about 45 minutes at a lazy pace.

From the top there is a beautiful view of Liptovská Mara and Liptovský Mikuláš. The sun is setting behind us, but it adds a beautiful atmosphere to this view. Judge for yourself 🙂
