Tip from the boss - Demänovská hora

If you were confused by the name, then know that you do not have to worry about the neck-breaking and tiring climb at all. Demänovská Hora is again a hill from the edition for a walk, with children, or just for a date : ).

Last but not least, it is the first hill of the eastern ridge of the Demänovská valley. All tourists usually go towards Chopok, but like Siná, Demänovská hora deserves attention. We choose this walk when the devils are getting married at higher altitudes, and here it is definitely a different world. The ideal starting point is from ATC Bystrina.

We pass the Bystrina hut of the same name, pass through a striking log construction and turn onto the yellow road into a beautiful pine forest. The fact is that most of the entrances in the valley are in spruce forests, but here you will be caught by a beautiful pine forest. Normally made for a good mouthpiece. Those who are afraid of bears should not read this further : ). It's true that talking and looking are not out of the question in this heat. If I were a bear, I would definitely go there. If you have a partner with you who examines every bitten stump and the smell of every decaying grass, then you have the discussion covered. Well, but if you forget all this, the trail still zigzags upward in serpentines. The climb is very pleasant, basically without pitfalls and you can keep a steady pace. The higher you are, the more beautiful the mountain. Where is the viewpoint with a bench, where is the hungry bear with a bone...

Before you know it, you pass the turn that goes further towards Iľanovské sedlo and on to the ridge. The last hundreds of meters and we are standing on an inconspicuous peak, but with a striking view. The first snow has fallen on Chopek and it looks like Kilimanjaro from a distance, but to the north we have Liptov in the palm of our hands. This hill is a very nice and easy surprise. We managed the less than 4 km long hike in just over an hour. But we went relatively briskly, without the need for anything special.

We definitely recommend it to everyone. I wouldn't go here with a carriage or even in sandals, but if you've been to Žiarská and Kvačianská 100 times, this is an ideal change.
